EXPLORER PROGRAM

Children 25 Months - 2.5 yrs

Children 25 Months - 2.5 yrs

This program is especially designed for children who are experiencing school for the first time. We work on self-regulation (understanding one’s feelings), social and emotional, and other skill sets to help foster longer focus and concentration using different materials including sensory (which are important at this age). Small groups of children are given a variety of materials to explore while teachers use inquiry-based questions to foster language development and critical thinking. Teachers read meaningful literature and introduce Spanish in organic ways to entice children. Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) program is introduced daily to children through a variety of materials, nurturing their creative thinking and imaginative play. Children will be introduced to music through singing and instruments. And children will learn basic breathing techniques while engaging in yoga exercises. Children will have one on one attention to work through social challenges such as entering play and leading play. Teachers support each child until mastery in group play is learned.

Teachers encourage deeper explorations with the child’s interest in mind. We provide unique materials that engage the “whole-brain” and ignite critical thinking, imagination, and creativity.

In the Reggio Emilia Philosophy, each child is seen as intelligent, capable, and a protagonist in their own learning. The Reggio Emilia teachers further develop the child's interests by observing what the child is engaged in, what the child inquires about, and what the child is focused on. Then providing the child with engaging provocations to deepen the learning.

At IMAGINE, we observe your child and provide many unique opportunites for your child to further develop their fine motor skills. Using a variety of materials, we strengthen fine motor to a fast track to writing. Teachers create engaging provocations with writing materials to develop better fine motor skills. By developing these skills, your child's focus and concentration will lengthen along the way.
